Feb 09th, 2007 OK, I know the updates have still been erratic, but at this point there is a very good reason for that. My grandma is currently in a hospice, and is not going to make it. That being said I haven't found myself much in the mood to work on comics lately, even when I can get online. There is nothing they can do for her, so its just a matter of time. I am going to do my best to make sure I still bring you at least 2 comics a week, but I cant make any promises right now. I will update you further when there are more developments. Feb 02nd, 2007 OK, so I have been trying real hard to get things back on schedule. Here is what happened this week. I started a new job this week, and as such have been staying home lately. As I currently have no internet at home, I have not been able to get online to upload new comics. I hope to get the internet back soon, but until then it could still be somewhat sporadic, and for that I am really sorry. Still the first strip for Feb is up, and I am aiming for no missed comics all month. Take care all. Jan 29th, 2007 So January is almost over and we are still going. Granted we have had a bit of a hickup this month but the fact that we are still going is signifigant because at about 2 months is where the original Rusty Hard Drive died out. Here is hoping for a smoother February. Jan 23rd, 2007 I think that the BJD up above sums up what has happened in recent weeks quite well, but I wanted to use this news post as a status update on everything that is going on. The conversion of the comics to .png format is finished and online, also I am fairly sure that all of the broken links are fixed. Next on the list is to fix and update the archives page, as well as taking care of the tables not showing right on the bio's page. Once I finish with that I am going to make the comic for Wendesday. As stated above we will have comic #17 on Wed, #18 on Thurs, and #19 on Fri. Again I want to thank you for your patience and for dealing with our inital spurts, as we iron out the kinks of our website and creation process. Expect comic #17 "The Quest Continues" somewhere between noon and 2 in the afternoon. Jan 19th, 2007 OK, so I know its been a bad week, and I apologize for that, and further details for those who care will be apearing in my rant in the not so distant future. I just don't want people to think that my having this bad week means in any way that I am not commited to finishing this comic. I hope that you will all keep reading and give me your support.

Sunday, December 31, 5:30AM So recently I have been asking people who have been reading the comic for feedback now that the first 3 weeks are done. Thus far it has been mostly positive, but some things wern't being done in a way I was 100% satisfied with. And sience I am getting faster at making the comics now, it seemed to make sence, in a masochistic kind of way, to use that extra time to re-edit and re-text the older comics, as well as get ahead again. Also I put in some work with the help of Suelly and we got a simple forum up and running for the comic. If you want to check it out, there is a link at the top of the page. This is a fairly small group reading this comic right now, and I am fairly sure that most of them are personal friends, but I would love to hear feedback from anyone that has it for me, so if you have something to say, post it up on the forum! I want to know what you think about this infant project that I am putting my time into. We have big plans for this comic. As point in fact, we have almost 40 comics already pre-scripted and ready to be made. Its going to be interesting because I dont want this to be a gag a day comic. I am aiming to make this read into a cohesive story, almost like a manga, and as such there are going to be some serious moments as well. As the characters in this comic are all based off of real people, each with their own flaws and problems, I think that having serious moments is only natural. Honestly, we have an outline for 4 major storyarcs, of which we are BARELY starting the first. I am not entirely sure where this story is going to end up, but I am commited to make sure that as long as I have people who want to read it, I will keep making it. I need to give out another HUGE thank you to Suelly, who has more or less put me up these last couple of weeks as I currently dont have an internet connection at my apartment. Also I want to give a thank you to Brand, who is working on making us a better website. I cant wait to see what you come up with for us, and I really appreciate the time you are putting into it, espically knowing how busy you are. Last I want to say thank you to all of the people who have been comming to read this comic on Mon, Wed, and Fri, espically the folks from the 8-bit Theatre and Captain N forums. You guys are the reason I am doing this project, and I am hoping that I can bring you a good story and a laugh from time to time. As to why I am up at 5:30 in the morning typing a rant, knowing I am probally going to pay for it once it gets posted in bad spelling and grammer as I ramble on, well, because it just felt like the right time. Until next time, be well. -Josh |
December 5th, 2006 Tuesday - 11:18AM CST In this information age, the amount of media information that is crammed into my head is bound to burst a seam if I dont find a way to relieve some of the pressure. It currently takes the form of talking to myself in my car. Upon reflection, I think that this form might make me look a little different to a passerby. SO... in hoping to keep both my good name and still find a way out, I have taken it upon myself to write (or type) a number of inspired op-ed's. I do this in hopes of having good conversations but also in getting things out of my head and let my mind think freely again.

Hello there. Just updating my rant. The spring semester has started back up and I have been uber busy with trying to start it out right. I aim to get straight A's again and so I have kinda put everything else on hold lately, including RH...which I apologize for. ^^; Hopefully, once I get used to the workload and become more efficient with my time, I'll be able to dedicate some of my attention back to this project. I am looking forward to seeing it succeed. There is plenty more in store and I can't wait to see how things develop! :D
...oh, wait. Again, I forget. I'm the writer...I would HOPE that I know how things will be developing. @_@
We'll see! I look forward to getting back to the project soon. ^_^
